What a great capture Yves. The crisp focus and detail of the muskrat and ripples is very beautiful and I'm glad you didn't crop out the ethereal crystals that the camera caught. It makes for such a beautiful and intriguing image.

Glad I choose the right framing to pleases you Heather. I love to photograph water surfaces because it can surprises me in many different ways. It offers a lot of possible ways.

Nice sharp focus and detail in the image Yves. I love the ripples and the blue streak created by the muskrat. It is amazing how when you look at a picture on the computer you notice things that the eye did not see when capturing the image. I have quite a few pictures that have surprised me after the capture.

Thanks Debra. Glad you have some surprising picture too. I had a dilema presenting that shot. To show the muskrat as the subject I should have crop to show him bigger. But I love the animal and its blue line beeing part of the ripple patern so I choose to present the overall picture beeing the subject.

Description
A muskrat re-painting the blue line on the marsh scenic route 108. Notice on the top right the illusion of some bright pebbles kind of floating in mid-air over the water. Always a great pleasure when conditions of shooting water surface produce that illusion. On the spot the human eye does not see that illusion. Only the camera can see it that way.
